Project Samsui
An In-House Short Film by Voodoo Visual
Project Samsui is a passion-driven, in-house short film created to showcase the artistic depth and technical prowess of Voodoo Visual. This experimental project pushes the boundaries of digital storytelling, animation, and creature design — serving as a creative playground for our team to explore cutting-edge VFX techniques and worldbuilding.
The entire narrative and visual development of Project Samsui is built around three original creature concept art sketches by renowned concept artist Brent Hollowell. With no initial script or world constraints, our team challenged themselves to craft a compelling cinematic experience rooted purely in visual storytelling, driven by design.
Through this project, Voodoo Visual aims to demonstrate not only its capacity for high-end creature work, but also its ability to evolve raw creative sparks into emotionally resonant and technically complex visual narratives.
